I am the former library media specialist at Flower Mound High School, located about twenty-five miles northwest of Dallas.
I was an educator for forty years in LA and TX, and all but 1 1/2 of those years were in a library setting. I have served as a librarian for every grade, and I previously taught high school math. I am an alum of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA and Louisiana State University, where I received my MLS. I am married to a retired band director, and my oldest son and daughter-in-law are both band directors in east Texas. My youngest son is a pharmacist. I have two beautiful granddaughters and a sweet shitzhu.

My passion is young adult literature; I can't get enough of it! Maybe I'm addicted; I hope there is a library in Heaven! I served on TX Library Association's TAYSHAS Committee in 2016 and had a blast! I also love photography and making scrapbooks. I coach and judge baton twirling for the United States Twirling Association. I am also a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Delta Zeta sorority, and serve as Vice-President and Webmaster for the LSU Tarrant County Tigers Alumni Association.
